Iran is starting security trainings to combat possible internet attacks, Iran’s state television reported quoting head of Iran’s non-operative defense organization Gholamreza Jalali as saying.

"The security drills will increase defensive capacities of Iran’s organizations to fight against internet attacks," he said without mentioning details.

Iran faced computer virus attack last September allegedly aimed for country’s nuclear plants in Bushehr. Officials stated only computers of employees in nuclear plant were damaged by virus and the main computer system of Bushehr plant was not affected.

Iran accused Israel of creating computer virus aimed for country’s nuclear facilities, Iran’s cyber police was formed in January to protect espionage and destructive internet activities.

Iran arrested 30 suspects of internet crimes in March while Iran’s minister of information and communications technology announced the launch of national internet network designed by Iran to replace international internet networks.
