Gas flow in the Iran-Turkey pipeline was temporarily halted after an explosion damaged the pipeline in Turkey's Eastern province, FNA reported.
Many units of firefighters were dispatched to the scene of the pipeline blast, and valves were closed soon after the explosion. There were no causalities in the explosion.
Firefighters were ultimately able to put out the blaze, which had spread hundreds of meters wide with flames that leapt tens of meters into the air.
Meantime, National Iranian Gas Company spokesman expressed on Friday Iran's readiness to immediately fix the Iran-Turkey exploded gas pipeline.
"The blast in the gas pipeline in the Turkish territory has disrupted the exports and we have announced readiness for its immediate repair," Majid Bujarzadeh told the Islamic republic news agency.
Iran is waiting for an early answer from Turkey to resume the current 24 million cubic meters gas exports to the country, he added.
