Meeting with U.S. Senate staff members held in Georgian Foreign Ministry

Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergi Kapanadze met with U.S. Senate members of staff - Christopher Socha (member of staff for Senator James Risch), Victor Manuel Cervino (member of staff for Senator Marco Rubio), Amber Susan Bland (member of staff for Senator John Baras), and Joshua Carter (member of staff for Senator John Holven).

The sides discussed a wide range of Georgian-U.S. relations, including prospects for further developing close relations between the Georgian government and both Houses of the U.S. Congress, the Georgian Foreign Ministry told Trend.

The U.S. Senate members of staff are on a week-long visit to Georgia as part of the "Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act".

The Senate members of staff are scheduled to meet with representatives of various authorities and civil society.
