Gasoline prices rise in Georgia

03 August 2011 [17:06] - TODAY.AZ
Despite the fact that oil prices have remained almost unchanged on the global market, fuel has become more expensive in Georgia.

Gasoline became expensive by five tetri in all gas stations. It is already the third time in summer period when the prices for oil products changed in the retail trade. Gasoline fell in price several weeks ago.

Chairman of Union of Importers and Producers of Oil Products Vano Mtvralashvili believes that it is associated with tendencies in the world market. Given that the Georgian importers buy fuel at Platts prices, retail prices are established on them.
