In the first half of this year, Georgia has recorded 15,524 crimes compared to 17,580 crimes during the same period of 2010, Georgian Interior Ministry reported for January-June 2011.
According to the Interior Ministry’s data, 6,881 crimes (44.3 percent) were disclosed. Some 8.696 crimes were disclosed during first 6 months of 2010.
Some 4.346 heinous crimes were recorded this year, 2.483 of which were disclosed this year.
Some 6.955 crimes were recorded in Tbilisi during the reporting period, 2.802 of which were disclosed. The number of committed crimes decreased by 1.320 compared to last year.
