Georgian President opens computer plant

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has opened a large computer plant in Tbilisi today.

The enterprise is a joint project of the Georgian company "Algorithm" and the global computer giant Intel.

About 1,000 people, including graduates of the professional college of information technologies work here.

The plant will produce 60,000 netbooks for the first formers this year.
President Saakashvili said that this is a historic moment. A plant of high technologies began working in Georgia.

The President said that all the first formers, including his son, will have these netbooks from the new academic year.

"The result of all this we will see in 10-15 years," Saakashvili said.
