Turkish Airlines receives "partner of year" award in Singapore

Turkey's national flag carrier won "partner of year" award in Singapore, a company statement said on Thursday.

Turkish Airlines (THY) received "the partner of year" award for its efforts to promote Singapore's air traffic in Turkey and increase airline traffic between the two countries under a project carried out by Chiangi Airports Administration and Singapore's Tourism Office.

THY is flying to Singapore from Istanbul every day.

Based in Istanbul, THY is one of the fastest growing airline companies in the world. A Star Alliance member carrying approximately 25 million passengers a year, THY posted 286 million Turkish lira net profit in 2010.
