Iran's oil products exports up 30%

An Iranian official says the export of Iran's oil products has enjoyed a 30 percent growth in the first quarter of the current Iranian Calendar year (ending March 20), Press TV reported.

"In the first quarter of the current year the value of oil, gas and petrochemical product exports amounted to USD 3 billion and 813 millions," Head of the Union of Iranian Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Products Exporters Seyyed Hamid Hosseini said on Monday.

Nearly USD 2 billion and USD 542 million belonged to the export of gas condensates which has significantly increased, Hosseini added.

The oil reserves of Iran, the world's fourth largest crude producer, reached 155 billion barrels from 151.3 billion barrels after discovering new fields in the current Iranian calendar year.

According to British Petroleum's latest report, titled the Statistical Review of World Energy, Iran's daily oil production climbed 45,000 barrels compared to the 2009 figure. The report added that the average of Iran's crude production stood at 4.245 million barrels per day in 2010.
