Karbala blasts leave 9 killed

Explosion of a bomb-laden car in Iraqi province of Karbala left at least nine people killed and 40 others wounded, Irna reported.

The victims of the blasts were mostly Iraqi citizens and Shia pilgrims who were killed in three separate bombing incidents.

Iraqi security forces had previously announced that six bomb-laden cars entered Karbala province.

Ambulances immediately came to the scene of incident and the area was cordoned off by the security forces preventing people from entering.
