
Number of Syrian people who escaped from the violence in their country and took shelter in Turkey dropped to 8,806 on Sunday.
According to a statement released by the Turkish Prime Ministry Disaster & Emergency Management Directorate (AFAD), a total of 342 Syrians had returned to their country on Saturday and Sunday, however 23 more Syrians crossed into Turkey.
The number of Syrian nationals staying at the tent-sites were 9,182 on Friday.
A total of 15,430 Syrian citizens have crossed into Turkey so far, but 6,624 of them have returned to their country.
Syrians are staying in six temporary tent-sites set up by Turkish Red Crescent in Altinozu, Yayladagi, Reyhanli towns and Apaydin village of Turkey's southern province of Hatay.
Hundreds of people have been killed during pro-democracy protests in Syria since January 2011.
