Turkey and Russia agreed to use stress test developed by the European Union (EU) as a reference for nuclear safety.
A statement by the European Commission said that Turkey, Russia, Armenia, Ukraine, Belarus, Croatia and Switzerland agreed at a high-level meeting held in Brussels on Thursday that they would reassess their existing and planned nuclear power plants, using the stress tests developed by the EU as a reference.
"Following the ongoing re-assessment of nuclear plants in the EU, several neighbouring countries will perform similar stress tests," it said.
