Georgian TV and Radio Company brings action against film director

24 June 2011 [17:00] - TODAY.AZ
Georgian regional TV and Radio Company "Trialeti" will file a suit against the makers of the Hollywood movie "Five Days in August". The matter rests in damaging reputations.

"Trialeti" has claims to one of the episodes of the Russian-Georgian war of August 2008; foreign journalists intend to disseminate the information. They arrived at the broadcasting company and its closed doors. There are no journalists there and the door is closed.

"We were at work during the hostilities, despite a threat of intervention," the statement said. "It is just a lie and they had no right to display our logo and a building. They caused moral damage. We will make a claim against director Rene Harlin, producers Papuna Davitaia and Koba Nakopia."
