The issue of human rights has become a political tool in the hands of world powers for their double standards in this regard, Iran's foreign minister Ali Akbar Salehi said, Press TV reported with reference to ISNA.
"Currently, [the issue of] human rights has become a political weapon and everybody is aware of this," Salehi told.
"Our country does not stand lower than other countries in terms of human rights; and we know countries where basics of human rights are not observed, but there is no outcry against these countries," he added.
Salehi referred to the situation of Muslim minorities in European countries and regretted the dressing limitation imposed on them.
