Turkey to set up patient call centers for tourists

Turkey's Ministry of Health has taken measures to eliminate problems foreign tourists are facing in emergency health services during their summer holidays.

Releasing a circular, the ministry decided to set up foreign patient call centers and foreign patient provincial coordination centers.

In case tourists call 112 emergency call service, they will be connected to foreign patient call centers.

Foreign patient units will be established in cities or towns which host a great deal of foreign tourists during summer, and those units will employ health staff who can speak foreign languages.
