Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards appeals to supreme religious leader for President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s arrest

Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Mohammad Ali Jafari asked Supreme Religious Leader Ali Khamenei for permission to arrest of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, said Khamenei’s representative Ayatollah Abdolnabi Namazi, Mignews agency reported.

It is claimed that Ahmadinejad attempted to overthrow Khamenei. Supreme Religious Leader demanded the arrest of all persons participating in this attempt, except president. Ahmadinejad was warned. According to Namazi, the confrontation between Supreme Religious Leader and President may cause Ahmadinejad’s resignation.

Those, who are accused in betrayal to supreme religious leader in Iran, face with death penalty.
