01 June 2011 [15:00] - TODAY.AZ
Two people were killed and three others heavily injured in an armed fight in a bazaar in central Turkey, local Today's Zaman reported on Wednesday.

Gursel Yaprakci and Ahmet Maranc, in their 20s, quarreled with Selahattin C. and his two sons for unknown reasons in the bazaar in Konya province on Tuesday, according to the report.

It said that the quarrel escalated into an armed fight, leaving Yaprakci dead at the scene while Maranc was rushed to Konya Numune Hospital, where he subsequently died, Xinhua reported.

The three other suspects were injured and were rushed to a hospital for treatment, it added.

Yaprakci was reportedly the father of a 20-day-old son and had served as the goalkeeper of Konya's Torku Sekerspor in the Turkish Football Federation 2nd League since 2005.
