Iranian workers get suffocated in petrochemical unit

Two workers got suffocated by polyethylene material in Besparan petrochemical company in Imam Port. One worker got suffocated while cleaning one of the silo tanks which contains polyethylene and the other worker while attempting to save the first worker, Mehr News Agency reported.

Besparan is one of the main companies of Imam Port petrochemical company.

In another accident, the explosion in Abadan refinery last week left one dead and injured 24 workers during inauguration ceremony with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s participation.
