Iranian President meets Armenian energy minister

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in a meeting with Armenian Energy Minister Tuesday, said that all regional countries should try to solve their problems through understanding, IRNA reported.

According to the report of Presidential Office website on Tuesday, Ahmadinejad, in a meeting with Armenian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisian, said that the two countries have historical and cultural relations and the two nations do not feel to be apart from each other.

Referring to his future visit to Armenia, Ahmadinejad expressed hope that during the trip, they would be able to make appropriate decisions for expansion and consolidation of bilateral ties.

The Armenian minister, who is in Tehran to attend the 10th joint economic cooperation commission, called trend of progress in join cooperation promising and appropriate adding that implementation of joint projects between the two countries has been important and useful for the whole region.

Appreciating holding the second world Norouz Day in Iran, Movsisian stressed that his presence in the ceremony was a very pleasant memory for him about Iran and its past cultural and historical background.
