Ankara-Batumi flights to be launched

Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan yesterday attended the opening of a new flight between Ankara and Batumi.

The Georgian President said that this flight is a confirmation of the fact of economic and transport ties development between the two countries.

"There are the flights from Istanbul," he said. "The geography of flights is being expanded now."

The first flight will be made between Turkey and Batumi today. The flights will be regular from June 8. They will be made twice a week - on Mondays and Saturdays.

The ticket price starts from 82 euros. The Batumi airport will serve Turkish regions bordering with Georgia.
