Georgian opposition party members arrested

The Georgian Interior Ministry detained individual accused of killing two people during the dispersal of demonstrations in front of the Georgian parliament.

Assistant to leader of the People's Assembly Nino Burjanadze, Ivan Chigvinadzem and Burjanadze’s Democratic Movement party member Zachary Zurashvili were arrested.

These individuals hastily left the rallies and ran over people.

According to police, two jeeps driven by Chigvinadze and Zurashvili
crashed into a crowd of police and protesters.

Two people were killed -- policemen Nodar Tskhadadze and Vladimir Mashulashvili.

About 37 victims of the running-down accident during the riots have been hospitalized. Eight of them are policemen, 28 - ordinary citizens and one- journalist of ITV broadcaster.
