Iran's president to visit Turkey

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is due to visit neighboring Turkey Monday to attend the 4th UN Conference on the Least Developed Countries.

During his daylong visit, the Iranian president also plans to hold talks with officials of Turkey and other countries participating in the conference, Fars news agency reported on Sunday.

The 4th UN Conference on the Least Developed Countries is scheduled to begin on May 9 and will end on May 13.

In his previous trip to Turkey, the Iranian president visited major Turkish city of Istanbul in December 2010 to participate in the 11th summit of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

Later in February 2011, Turkish President Abdullah Gul visited Iran, heading a 135-member high-ranking delegation to discuss expansion of ties and sign multiple trade and cooperation agreements.
