Georgian President opens upgraded Batumi Dolphinarium

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili opened an upgraded dolphinarium and watched the show together with his family members in Batumi.

He expressed his admiration for the dolphin show and said that he watched dolphin show in Batumi 30 years ago.

Batumi Dolphinarium has today received the audience after a 20-year pause. Now it has 15 dolphins, seven of them are Japan’s gift to Georgia.

Some 704 people can participate at the show simultaneously.

Batumi Dolphinarium was first opened in 1975, and it stopped operating in 1995.
