Turkey to host F1 DHL Turkish grand prix

Twelve teams and twenty-four drivers will compete in the Formula 1 (F1) DHL Turkish Grand Prix in Istanbul this weekend.

Six German, three British, two Spanish, two Brazilian, two Italian, one Australian, one Russian, one Venezuelan, one Japanese, one Mexican, one Swiss, one Finnish, one Indian and one Belgian drivers are participating in this year's Turkish Grand Prix.

Below are the teams and drivers to compete in Istanbul this weekend:

Red Bull: Sebastian Vettel (Germany), Mark Webber (Australia)

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes: Lewis Hamilton (Britain), Jenson Button (Britain)

Ferrari: Fernando Alonso (Spain), Felipe Massa (Brazil)

Mercedes GP: Michael Schumacher (Germany), Nico Rosberg (Germany)

Renault: Nick Heidfeld (Germany), Vitaly Petrov (Russia)

Williams: Rubens Barrichello (Brazil), Pastor Maldonado (Venezuela)

Force India: Adrian Sutil (Germany), Paul di Resta (Britain)

Sauber: Kamui Kobayashi (Japan), Sergio Perez (Mexico)

Toro Rosso: Sebastien Buemi (Switzerland), Jaime Alguersuari (Spain)

Lotus: Jarno Trulli (Italy), Heikki Kovalainen (Finland)

HRT: Narain Karthikeyan (India), Vitantonio Liuzzi (Italy)

Virgin: Timo Glock (Germany), Jerome d'Ambrosio (Belgium)

The Turkish Grand Prix will begin with practice phase on Friday. The qualifying tour of the race will take place at the Istanbul Park Circuit on Saturday, and the race will begin at 3 p.m. local time on Sunday.

Last year, British driver Lewis Hamilton of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes won Turkish Grand Prix.

Felipe Massa of Brazil was the most successful driver in the races in Turkey and won the Turkish Grand Prix for three consecutive years in 2006, 2007 and 2008, whereas Ferrari was the most successful team.
