Armed incident occurs in Iran's Kurdistan province

A shooting took place between gunmen and police in the Sanandaj town in Iran’s Kurdistan province, the Mehr news agency reported.

The Kurdistan Province Police Department confirmed the fact of the armed incident in the Hasanabad village of Sanandaj. Details of the armed incident are not disclosed.

Several terror attacks were recorded in the Iranian province of Kurdistan in the last few weeks.

An attack on a border post in Marivan on April 2 killed four and injured five. Earlier, an armed terror gang attacked traffic policemen in the Sanandaj town and injured a policeman.

The Iranian branch of PKK undertook the responsibility for assassination fact committed in Iran’s Kurdistan province, PJAK official site reported on April 4.
