Sixteen schoolchildren between the ages of 9-14 were poisoned with chewing gum in Turkish city of Konya on Wednesday, the Turkish Vatan newspaper reports.
The children were taken to the hospital, where they were provided with the necessary care. Some of the children were discharged from the hospital on the same day.
It was discovered that one of the schoolchildren brought poisoned chewing gum to school.
A criminal case has been filed by the Konya Prosecutor’s Office based on complaints by one of the student’s parents.
