Turkey sets 545 bln USD of export target for 2023

Head of Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM) set on Tuesday Turkey's export target for 2023 as 545 billion USD.

Mehmet Buyukeksi told a press conference in Istanbul in which it made public Turkey's export target strategy plan for 2023, and said Turkey's export target for 2023 was 545 billion USD.

"Turkey's import target for 2023 is 625 billion USD," Buyukeksi said.

Buyukeksi enumerated raising competitive power, increasing employment and ensuring regional development as three important issues.

TIM's chairman defined Russia as the target market in exports, and enumerated space and aviation, defense industry, informatics and communication, medical and hospital equipment, renewable energy, environmental technologies as new export sectors.
