Dmitry Medvedev: "Today Russia and Armenia have common goals"

The forum "Russian-Armenian alliance: toward new achievements of interregional cooperation" is held in Yerevan.

The plenary session of the forum starts today. Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan and head of Russian Presidential Administration Sergey Naryshkin will also attend the session. The inter-governmental and inter-regional contracts, the agreements on opening of new enterprises will be signed at the end of the forum.

One of the main events of the forum is handover of the first Sukhoi Superjet 100 plane to "Armavia" company and the opening of a Center for Diagnostics of Infrastructure on the South Caucasus Railway. The forum was organized by "Rossotrudnichestvo" and the Fund for Development of the "Institute of Eurasian Studies", supported by the administrations of the Russian and Armenian presidents.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev sent a letter to the forum, read out by head of Kremlin Administration Naryshkin. In his letter Medvedev says that today Russia and Armenia have a lot of common goals, including modernization and development of their national economies, improvement of living standards and promotion of integration processes on CIS territory.
