Iran receives new missiles Shalamcha and Zafar

Iran’s air defense system has received missiles Shalamcha and Zafar, Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi was quoted as saying by the Iranian news agency FARS.

Zafar cruise missile was transferred to the system, Vahidi said at today’s military parade. "The new missiles will strengthen Iran’s air defense system," Vahidi said.

A new missile Sayad-2 was tested a few days ago. Based on the information, an industrial production of missiles will be launched in the near future.

Iran marks April 18 as the Armed Forces Day.
