Georgia will host a NATO meeting in November, the Georgian Public Broadcaster reported. NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen and ambassadors of 28 member- countries will attend the meeting.
The issue was mulled at the NATO-Georgia Commission’s meeting in Berlin.
Georgia’s allies played an important role in making this decision, Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze said.
"The holding of the North Atlantic Council’s meeting in Tbilisi is a great political pressure. The meeting will focus on the NATO-Georgia relationship and reforms implemented in the country for rapprochement with the alliance," Vashadze said.
