Georgia to coordinate tourism in GUAM

Georgia will coordinate tourism in GUAM this year, the head of the National Agency for Tourism Maya Sidamonidze said after the first day of the meeting of the group on tourism of the GUAM countries.

She said that the Tbilisi Declaration will be signed at the meeting. To be determined will be the areas of common tourist attractions in the GUAM countries.

"This declaration will be an action plan," Sidamonidze said. Single tour packages will be created within this plan. The marketing actions will be conducted to develop new target markets."

She added that Japan will be one of these markets.

The delegations of Turkey, Japan and the GUAM countries are attending the meeting, which is being held at the Hotel Radisson.
