Iran to display latest military products in parades on Army Day

The Iranian Army plans to display its latest weaponry and military products during the annual Army Day parades on April 18, a senior Army commander announced on Sunday, Fars News Agency reported.

"The latest achievements in defense and military fields will be put on display during the Farvardin 29 (April 18) parades," Commander of the Iranian Army Major General Ataollah Salehi said.

He further stressed the Iranian Armed Forces' capabilities, and said that the Army has fully acquired the necessary know-how for the production of all its needed tools and weaponries.

"We have been able to defuse and deter enemy threats," Salehi noted.

The Iranian Army has recently test-fired different types of newly-developed missiles and torpedoes and tested a large number of its home-made weapons, tools and equipments, including submarines, military ships, artillery, choppers, aircraft, UAVs and air defense and electronic systems, during massive military drills.
