One pilot was killed and two others injured in a helicopter crash in Turkish northwestern city Bursa on Wednesday, Xinhua reported.

The Eurocopter EC-155 model helicopter belonging to the Ciner Group crashed near the city of Bursa in northwest Turkey around 10: 35 a.m. First aid teams that arrived on the scene found pilot Ahmet Deniz dead.

The eight-seater helicopter had two pilots, one technician and no passengers, and was headed to the town of Yenisehir in the Bursa metropolitan area.

Upon hearing of the crash, civilian defense, fire-fighting and emergency medical assistance teams were dispatched to the area.

One of the downed pilots tried to direct the teams to the crash site via telephone. Once military helicopters aiding the search and rescue teams discovered the wreckage, the teams walked several kilometers of countryside to reach the site.
