01 April 2011 [12:36] - TODAY.AZ
Tbilisi and Florence concluded a memorandum signed by Tbilisi City Hall’s head of social and cultural service Mamuka Katsarava and a representative of the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation.

Katsarava said that the memorandum envisages the implementation of joint projects by the two countries, which will familiarize the world with sights currently included in the UNESCO list. With the help of the Foundation various countries’ representatives will become better acquainted with Georgian traditions. The project covers 60 countries.

"All the traditions and cultural heritage of the country should become part of its strategy. This makes an important impact on tourism development," Katsarava said.

According to the Foundation’s representative Paolo Del Bianco, the signed memorandum will make traditional friendship between Tbilisi and Florence even more intensive.

After concluding the memorandum Florence’s delegation members were awarded a diploma for the Friendships of Georgian Culture.
