Istanbul claims largest share in Turkish exports in 2010

Istanbul, Turkey's largest commercial and financial hub, made in 2010 exports worth nearly 52 billion USD, more than the sum achieved by 79 of 81 provinces in the country.

Istanbul claimed a 46 percent share of the 112.2 billion USD worth of total exports to reach 51,833 million USD, becoming the top exporter province in Turkey.

Industrial sector's share in Istanbul's exports was 46,452 million USD and agricultural sector claimed 3,813 million USD.

Bursa and Kocaeli ranked second and third, respectively, with 10,927 million USD, and 8,880 million USD.

The southeastern province of Tunceli ranked the last on the list with 1,874 USD.
