Turkish parliament chairman congratulated Azerbaijani parliament speaker with Novruz holiday

The Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mehmet Ali Sahin congratulated Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov with Novruz holiday, the website of Turkish newspaper Aksam reported.

Sahin expressed hope that including Novruz holiday in the list of the UNESCO intangible cultural heritage and announcing March 21 as the International Day of Novruz by the UN General Assembly will create new opportunities to strengthen peace, understanding and mutual respect not only in the region, but throughout the world.

"I sincerely congratulate you on the occasion of Novruz holiday. It is our common value" Sahin said in a letter also addressed to Speaker of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Kassymzhomart Tokaev and Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Ahmatbek Keldibekov.
