Moscow hosts CIS Economic Forum

The International Economic Forum of CIS countries titled "20 Years of Commonwealth: Cooperation Experience and Perspectives" was held in Moscow. The event was organized by CIS Executive Committee and CIS Economic Development Business Center.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu and CEO of IBA-Moscow Fuad Abdullayev have represented Azerbaijan in the forum. Fuad Abdullayev made a report on the theme of a role of bank in the investment cooperation of CIS member states and prospects of this cooperation in the field of infrastructure development in CIS countries.

The participants discussed strategies of CIS economic development before 2020, free trade zone treaty and interstate program of innovative cooperation till 2020, Customs Union and prospects for the single economic space.

Other issues on the agenda included Tajikistan's proposals on economic integration, establishment of mutually beneficial business relations between CIS business communities, development and promoting of the most important projects, the ways of attracting potential investors and clients, as well as providing assistance to inventors, designers, and producers of high-tech products in foreign and Russian market exploration.

The forum also featured an exhibition of innovative projects, the seminar "Development of Business Climate in the CIS". The award ceremony was held during the forum to honor the best CIS business leader and the best leader of CIS economic integration.

The forum concluded with the signing of a final document, which will be passed to legislative and executive authorities of the CIS countries.

The forum has brought together executive and legislative power, private business, leading investment and finance organizations, research and expert centers, trade unions of all the CIS members.
