Georgian PM meets participants of meeting for BTK railway project

Georgia's Prime Minister Nikoloz Gilauri met with participants of the coordinating council for the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project.
The meeting was followed by the sitting of the Council with attendance of Azerbaijan`s Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov, Turkish Minister of Transport Binali Yildirim and Georgian Minister of Regions Development and Infrastructure Ramaz Nikolaishvili.

Nikolaishvili told of the importance of the project and current state of construction in the Georgian sector.

Yildirim spoke about the socio-economic importance of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project, saying construction in the Turkish section remains on schedule. He noted the project will be completed on time.

Azerbaijan ambassador to Georgia Namig Aliyev was present at the meeting.
