Three Georgian citizens detained for smuggling sturgeon from Azerbaijan

Three Georgian citizens of Azerbaijani origin have been detained by the Georgian Finance Ministry for smuggling sturgeon. The arrested individuals illegally imported delicatessen fish into Georgia from Azerbaijan.

Contraband sturgeon is worth about $13,000 was found in the trunk of the violators' car. The detained Georgian citizens, whose name were said to be Choygun Bakhramov, Khalid Karimov and Bayram Etimushev, will face three years in prison if found guilty by the court.
