Armenian homosexuals threaten to post "sexual adventures" of country's officials

07 December 2010 [17:35] - TODAY.AZ
A group of indignant Armenian homosexuals have sent a letter to Armenia's police chief Alik Sarkisian with a request to protect their rights. According to “Hraparak” newspaper, in particular, Armenian representatives of sexual minorities are outraged by statements made by Sarkisian who "violates human rights at a state level."

Sexual minorities are outraged over Sarkisian’s remarks that homosexuals in Armenia are fined a few thousand drams when detained and then released. In addition, Alik Sarkisian said that he has physical revulsion for gays.

"Your preference is your own business. Let us know for what violation homosexuals are fined. Why not to fine Yerevan Police Chief Nerses Nazarian, as cash registers in a supermarket "Muscovite" owned by him do not issue receipts?”

Nazarian earns through fines of homosexuals. The police require us to pay $100 each so that they will leave us alone. Once their threats fail to work, they send thugs who begin to stalk us. This fact of persecution has been recorded by camera. And soon the video will be posted on Youtube,” the letter says.

"Moreover, Mr. Sarkisian, if you had made this statement in the days of Alexander of Macedon, he would have surely ensured that your disgust towards gays grew into a physical pleasure. As to those senior officials who have disgust for us, I would like to remind you that we are well aware of their sexual adventures. And it is not excluded, that these interesting videos may soon appear on some social sites," sexual minorities in Armenia say in their letter.
