ANAMA to complete mine clearance at Turkey-Syria border early 2011

Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) will complete mine clearance at Turkey-Syria border in January 2011. Chief of Anama Nazim Ismayilov said the minefields in Turkey cover 150 million sq km. He said the officials of Turkey`s National Defense Ministry have recently visited Azerbaijan, familiarized with principles of the agency and held negotiations.
