Tomorrow, on 12th of November an Azerbaijani Film Festival kicks off in Yerevan. Yes, that's right. Accrording to the Festival's organizer, a member of Caucasus Center for Peacemaking Iniciatives, Georgi Vanian, this festival creates a great opportunity to get to know better the finest examples of Azerbaijani's modern art. He added, that the festival is a space for straight, honest conversations.
Vanian said, that in the day of Festival's opening, 4 short films will be shown (one documentary film, and 3 feature films).
As a result of voting, a winner of the festival will be chosen. Reportedly, the entry for the festival is free. However, according to Vanian, the reaction to the festival was different among people.
"There are some agressively oriented people, who stand against this festival. For example, writer Lusine Vayachian, who posted news about this festival on a social website, was bombed with threat messages."
Vanian added that Azerbaijani delegation will not be attending the festival.
