In an interview to RFE/RL, US ambassador to Armenia Marie Yovanovitch spoke of meetings with Armenian diaspora representatives living in the US, Armenia-Turkey relations and the activity of the OSCE Minsk group co-chairs.
Touching upon former top US negotiator on Nagorno-Karabakh Matthew Bryza's appointment as an ambassador in Azerbaijan, Yovanovitch said “a matter for the US Senate”.
She added: “Matt Bryza enjoys the full confidence of the president and the secretary of state. He's got great background for this post and so obviously we hope that he will be confirmed”.
