Azerbaijan's territories must be liberated from the occupation in order to ensure the durable peace in the South Caucasus region, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu told journalists during his visit to Igdir province of the country.
Davutoglu underlined the necessity of peaceful settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
According to the Turkish Minister, for centuries various nations have co-existed peacefully in the Caucasus.
Davutoglu noted the Turkey-Armenia and Azerbaijan-Armenia borders will not be opened unless the Azerbaijani lands are liberated from the occupation and peace is established in the region.
“Only in this case the region will turn into a territory of peace and stability and we are resolved to realize this.”
