Armenian ruling party: Country may withdraw from Armenia-Turkey protocols

Armenia is ready to withdraw from the Armenia-Turkey protocols, head of the parliamentary faction of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia Galust Sahakyan said.

“'Reasonable timeframe for ratification of the Armenian-Turkish protocols have already passed. We are ready to withdraw from the protocols. But we will do this only with a strong political base, so that our country wins from this situation,” Sahakyan added.

Sahakyan noted that one should not expect that U.S. President Barack Obama will utter the word "genocide" on April 24 and Turkey will immediately ratify the protocols.
