Turkey's Foreign Ministry released a statement which said it strongly condemned two suicide attacks in Moscow.
Turkey's President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu sent condolence messages to their Russian counterparts, the statement said.
The statement said Turkey sincerely believed that international solidarity was obligatory in countering terrorism, and Turkey was in solidarity with Russia and was standing by that country against this heinous attack.
In its statement, the ministry said there was no information confirming that there were Turkish citizens among the casualties.
Two suicide bombers blew themselves up in two attacks on subway stations in Moscow early on Monday, killing almost 40 and wounding many others.
