Georgia is invited to a nuclear security summit to be held in Washington on April 12-13, said one of the White House employees.
He mentioned the working schedule of U.S. President Barack Obama connected with the summit has not been officially published.
Not so long ago Georgian leader Mikheil Saakashvili in his interview with Kommersant-Vlast [Russian magazine] mentioned that he had an invitation to Washington D.C. from Obama.
After that Georgian mass media spread messages that in April Saakashvili will visit the American capital and meet with U.S. President Obama and U.S. Secretary of State Clinton.
About 40 countries are invited to the summit.
Many of them have already confirmed their participation.
