Armenian opposition youth to stage rally

A march by youth activists to free all political prisoners in Armenia, which is held every Friday, will take place today.

Leading up to the march, Armenian National Congress (ANC) activists released a statement in which they assured the public that “they are going to resist this guilty administration’s anti-state policies, they’re not going to retreat, since Serzh Sargsyan, who considers himself a president, and his administration continue to tyrannize the will of Armenian citizens.

“On March 9, the Armenian Court of Appeal carried out the authorities’ usual order: it ruled for Nikol Pashinyan to be imprisoned for 3 and a half years. With the ongoing policy related to Nikol, as well as other political prisoners, the authorities prove that they are panicked, and attempt to make serfs out of us, Armenian citizens.”
