11 March 2010 [18:12] - TODAY.AZ
Leader of the Alliance for Georgia, Irakli Alasania, who has been nominated candidate of the alliance for Tbilisi mayor, confirms that he plans to meet with another popular opposition leader, Levan Gachechiladze, however, rules out agreement on joint candidate of the opposition.

He says with the colleagues the opposition leader will discuss coordinated activities of the opposition.

"Speculations that I may lift my candidacy for other candidate's benefit is groundless. My candidacy has been nominated, we are involved in the campaign and the decision will not be changed," Alasania said and added they had to justify the trust declared to their Alliance.

"Many political parties, one part of Georgian society has declared trust to our political team. This support lays responsibility on us to go to the end," Alasania said.
