The government of Turkey condemned U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs resolution on so-called "Armenian genocide".
"We condemn this resolution which charges Turkish nation with a crime that it did not commit," the Turkish government statement said.
Turkish government also expressed concern that the non-binding resolution could damage Turkish-U.S. relations and efforts to normalize relations between Turkey and Armenia.
On Thursday U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs adopted 23 votes to 22 a resolution recognizing the so-called "Armenian genocide".
