Swedish embassy to open in Tbilisi soon

Foreign Minister of Georgia Grigol Vashadze met with Fredrik Lodkvist, special representative of Sweden to Georgia in the rank of Ambassador. Opening of the Swedish Embassy in Tbilisi in the near future was discussed, the Foreign Ministry said.

The Georgian side thanked to the Swedish government for a new strategy developed for technical assistance to Georgia.

The sides discussed actual issues of cooperation between Georgia and the EU at the meeting. Particular attention was paid to the simplification of visa program between Georgia and the EU and issues related to an association agreement.

The two sides expressed readiness to further close cooperation.
